United Transport and Logistics Company registered in Moscow

UTLC_20140906232303United Transport and Logistics Company (UTLC) of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan has passed state registration, Russian Railways said. “The company authorized capital amounts to RUB39.7 billion (EUR 674 mln),” the enterprise said.
The company has been founded by Russian Railways (contribution is RUB39.694 billion, which accounts for 99.84%), Belarusian Railways and the Kazakh railway operator KTZ (RUB0.032709 billion each and 0.08% respectively). The executive bodies of the company have been formed.
The board of directors will include nine executives. Kazakhstan and Belarus got one place each. Piotr Baskakov has been appointed president of United Transport and Logistics Company. Since March 2006 he has been holding the post of the general director of TransContainer (Russia).
United Transport and Logistics Company shall transport container cargo in the Single Economic Space, including along the transit routes between Europe and Asia. According to the business plan, by 2020 the total cargo turnover of the company will exceed 4 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit). Belarus plans to increase transit container traffic 4.5 times. The processing of containers at the Brest Severnyi station will surge 6.8 times. About $25 million in investments has been earmarked for the development of the terminal and warehouse infrastructure.
