UK companies interested in participating in Rail Baltica

04-rail_balticaThe UK Railway Industry Association expects that UK-based railway design, construction and maintenance companies will bid for Rail Baltica construction contracts, according to Neil Walker, the association’s international development director. UK companies or international companies with railway business units operating from the UK are expected to participate in Rail Baltica tenders.
“I think that one of the assets that we bring is our experience, our innovation and our technology to help run and build cost-effective railway. We can potentially save a lot of money for a client by bringing technology,” Neil Walker said.
Brexit is unlikely to affect UK-based companies’ ability to participate in international EU infrastructure projects, Neil Walker added.
