The Thai Cabinet approved a dual-track rail project linking Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon provinces. The cabinet gave the State Railway of Thailand the go-ahead on the project to add another track on the southern line. Investment for the 167 km section is estimated at 17 billion baht (428 million euros).
E-bidding for the project will start by August. The project could start a month afterwards and could be completed by 2019.
