Strukton Rolling Stock receives EN 15085 certification

struktonrailStrukton Rolling Stock has obtained certification for the quality standard EN 15085. This standard confirms the quality of welding in the production of railway vehicles and components.
SLV Duisburg (Germany) carried out the certification audit on 24 April, resulting in Strukton Rolling Stock being added to the list of certified companies. Strukton Rolling Stock is one of few parties in the Netherlands having obtained the certificate.
Strukton Rolling Stock delivers electrical components for the traction and control of railway vehicles, including locomotives and trainsets. These components are fitted in a welded metal housing, which is partly mounted on the outside of the rolling stock.
Certification for the EN 15085 standard is rapidly becoming a pre-requisite for contract award or acceptance as an approved supplier of components, sub-assemblies and vehicles. The EN 15085 standard proves the welding quality of railway vehicles and components.
