South Korea interested in Baku’s metro projects

baku metroAt a meeting with Chairman of Baku Metro, Zaur Huseynov, South Korean Deputy Minister for Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kyung-Sik Kim expressed interest of his country’s companies in participating in the construction project of metro stations in Baku.
The network of Baku subway is expected to get enlarged to 119 km with five lines and up to 76 stations by 2030. Right now, eight stations and two train depots are under construction.
New stations are designed for trains consisting of 7 cars. The new stations’ platforms would be 144m making the platforms 42 cm longer than pervious ones.
The new stations would be equipped with modern platforms, lobbies, escalators as well as new signaling and control systems.
