Serbia: trains begin running on new railway line built by RZD International

Serbia-rail-infraRZD International LLC has completed the first phase in the construction of a second railway track on the section between Pančevo Bridge – Pančevo Main Station on the main Belgrade – Pančevo railway line in Serbia.
Trains began running on the new railway track from Krnjača station to the 15th kilometre on the stretch between Ovcha – Pancevo Main On 7 June 2015. Serbian Railways now has some 8 kilometres of new tracks and 37 new track switches.
As a result, Serbian Railways is already able to use most of the section to improve the movement of trains between Belgrade and Pančevo, while RZD International can proceed to the next stage of construction and installation work on the project, including the repair of artificial structures and the existing railway track.
