The authorities of the Haute-Normandie region have threatened railway operator SNCF with cutting payments if the situation of the intercity trains providing connection to Paris is not improved until the end of January. The decision comes after several complaints about the problems that arise in the railway connections with the capital. The authorities have required the supply of documents on the punctuality of trains, their structure etc. For several months, passengers have been complaining about travel conditions on the Paris-Rouen-Le Havre, Paris-Caen-Cherbourg and Paris-Granville railways.
