PKP PLK signs new contract for Poznan-Olsztyn rail modernisation

pkpPolish rail infrastructure manager, PKP PLK, has signed the contract on the modernisation of Line No. 353, from Poznan and Torun to Olsztyn. Warmia-Mazury and Ostrowite – Jamielnik are among the section that will be modernised. The project values is PLN 50 million (EUR 11.5 million).
Trakcja PRKil S.A and ZUE S.A. won the contract on Ostrowite – Jamielnik line modernisation. Within the project, will be modernised 33 km of tracks, including 10 engineering structures and 12 rail crossings. The project will allow trains to rut at up to 100 km/h.
