Polish freight carrier PKP Cargo has denied the allegations about the possibility of a merger with air carrier Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT (PLL LOT). There are no ongoing activities and analysis aiming at merging PKP Cargo with PLL LOT, the company said.
The local press previously reported that the possibility of a merger of the state-controlled PLL LOT with one of the domestic railway companies, including PKP Cargo, is considered by Poland’s government. According to “Rzeczpospolita”, the government is considering two railway companies for the above scenario, PKP Intercity and PKP Cargo.
