PESA has been preparing for a long time for production of metro vehicles, and Warsaw is one of PESA’s biggest clients. The crowded transport in Warsaw is also served by PESA’s electric trains – ELFs run by the SKM (City Fast Rail).
The project is estimated to be completed between April 2016 – July 2019.

“The team of our constructors and designers has a task to apply experiences collected during past years in order to develop the project of metro, which will be innovative, safe vehicle, constructed of modern, light materials and equipped with systems of new generation”, Arkadiusz Sobkowiak, R&D Director, PESA Bydgoszcz said.

“Thanks to support of NCBR, PESA Bydgoszcz will have in the portfolio all types of rolling stock vehicles – so far we have manufactured electric and diesel vehicles, locomotives and trams, right now we will get the chance to develop the project of metro, which will significantly reinforce our competitiveness on the market”, Tomasz Zaboklicki, President of PESA Bydgoszcz remarked.
