Pakistan Railways signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Turkish Railways to revive the freight train service in order to help promote trade.
According to media reports, Pakistan is actively pursuing restart of container train service to Turkey via Iran.
Reports quoted sources in Railways Ministry as saying that the an MoU has been signed with Turkish Railway for revival of freight train service to help promote trade.
Train operations between Pakistan and Turkey through Iran were inaugurated during 2009 under the auspices of Economic Cooperation Organization.
