Nomad provides WiFi for Alstom’s Coradia trains

05-nomadNomad Digital has successfully partnered with Alstom to deliver passenger WiFi to 30 Coradia Continental electric trains to the Hessische Landesbahn GmbH (HLB) in Hessen, Germany.
This marks the first deployment in Germany of Nomad’s next-generation R4551 platform, offering the very latest in innovative, leading technology and performance. Nomad’s newest compact WiFi router architecture provides a connectivity platform which incorporates new technologies such as integrated next-generation modems and access points, enabling the quick integration of additional operational applications, providing a scalable, future-proofed solution to the customer.
“This contract win in Germany further strengthens our foothold in this territory. It also strengthens our relationship with Alstom in Germany, enabling Hessische Landesbahn GmbH’s passengers to experience a leading-edge connectivity experience on their journey, whether they are keeping up-to-date with their busy work schedule by exchanging emails and downloading files, or accessing entertainment, media and social networks,” Jean-Philippe Tissot, EMEAI General Manager, said.
The trains will operate on the Südhessen-Untermain network, connecting the cities of Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt, Frankfurt and Aschaffenburg.
