Lufthansa passengers offered new rail connection to Dortmund

03-lufthansaLufthansa Express Rail started offering a new railway connection to Dortmund for Lufthansa passengers. The connection between the main railway station in Dortmund and the station at Frankfurt airport is served by five ICE trains.
The train journey can be booked together with the Lufthansa ticket. Lufthansa passengers may also hand in their luggage directly upon arrival in the AiRail Terminal at Frankfurt airport.
Lufthansa has been offering this intermodal service with partners Deutsche Bahn and Fraport for 15 years. The first Lufthansa AIRail route to Stuttgart was created in 2001. Services have been expanded under the name ‘Lufthansa Express Rail’ to include the present five cities within Germany: Cologne, Dusseldorf, Karlsruhe, Mannheim and Dortmund.
