Kazakhstan plans to export products worth USD 100M via railroads in 2014

Kazakhstan plans to export products worth USD 100M via domestic railroads in 2014, said Minister of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev at the forum on engineering.
“Strategic goal in railway engineering is to develop highly profitable industries together with the world’s leading manufacturers such as General Electric, Alstom, Siemens, Talgo, TransMashHolding, GeneralMotors, Bombardier and others. This year, we are planning to export products worth USD 100M via railroads,” said Issekeshev.
“It is planned to increase localization of locomotives by 55%, passenger carriages – 32% , electric locomotives – 35%, freight cars – 90% by 2019,” said the Minister.
