Kazakhstan: Borzhakty – Ersai railway line to be launched

kazThe Borzhakty – Ersai railway line, that will create an infrastructural framework for the implementation of the project for the construction of a ferry port complex Kuryk (Kazakhstan) and several industrial projects in the coastal zone, will soon be launched.
The line is the important infrastructure facility of maritime transport operations support. It is laid adjacent the magistrals Mangyshlak – Uzen and leads to the port of Kuryk on the Caspian Sea, where the ferry is being built a powerful complex.
Currently, the station Borzhakty stacked main station and two receiving-path, nine switches.
The total length of all paths of the project “Borzhakty – Ersai” including station is 23.8 kilometers. The project envisages the construction of an overpass under construction at the intersection of the railway with the existing highway third category between Aktau and Kuryk, and the two power lines with capacity of 10 kW, the fiber-optic cabling, signaling and communication facilities, the construction of two modular stations EC.
The line will be equipped with the Bombardier EBILock950 Interlocking System.
Construction works on this line were started in October 2014.
