Georgian Railway and Stadler sign the contract on train supply

GEThe Director General of Stadler Bussnang Peter Shpuler and the the Director General of the Georgian Railway Mamuka Bakhtadze have signed the contract on purchase of double-decked trains at the end of May.
Four new trains are equipped with security systems of ultramodern types meeting the requirements of all standards. Specifications of the train completely conform to the requirements of the Georgian railway.
The train will be put into service on the direction to the Black Sea and will have a capacity of  400 passengers.
For development of technical requirements the Georgian Railway has used the service of experts of Deutsche Bahn. The Georgian side also worked on technical parameters together with the German experts.
Especially It should be noted the fact that the train of the Stadler Kiss model is adjusted for needs of persons with limited opportunities. In the train there are elevators and wet points for them. Besides, in a toilet there is a special table for service of babies.
The new train will enter Georgia on July 17 and after passing technical regulations.
