The tender announced by Eskișehir Metropolitan Municipality (Turkey) for 14 new tram cars has been cancelled since the only offer given has a much higher value than expected.
The offer was forwarded by PESA Bydgoszcz (Poland). The company’s offer is EUR 26.6 million. Nine companies had bought the specification conditions of the tender.
Currently Eskișehir operates 33 Bombardier trams running on the 36.5 km-long and 1000 mm gauge tram network.
