DTI obtains contract from Alstom for information and CCTV systems

02-DTIDTI Group Ltd has received an order from Alstom Transport India Limited for the supply of passenger information and CCTV systems for trains being delivered to the Sydney Metro Northwest project.
The order for the procurement contract includes the provision of systems on 22 new trains with deliveries expected to commence in late FY2015-16. These will be delivered over a 2 year period.
As part of the proposed contract, DTI’s CCTV system will also allow video evidence to be recovered from the trains through an on-line automated CCTV ‘booking’ system providing ongoing benefits through the easy management of equipment, video retrieval and video storage.
Under the proposed contract, each train will be equipped with an advanced digital video surveillance system, 24 internal and 2 forward-facing high-definition IP rail rated cameras, an IP-based audio communications system, 30 passenger emergency intercom units, external LED driven destination indication signs, 48” wide-screen LCD route displays, and internal passenger information displays.
