Dijon renews operating contract for Keolis

06-keolis-dijonThe Greater Dijon region has renewed its contract with Keolis to operate its public transport network, Divia, for another six years, from 2017 to 2022. Keolis has been the operator of the Divia network since 2004. The new public service delegation contract will start on 1 January 2017 and is expected to generate EUR 435 million in total revenue.
For the first time in France, public transport, parking and bike-share services have been combined into a ‘comprehensive mobility’ contract. The contract includes all transport solutions in the region: public transport (buses and trams), parking and bike-share services. With this new contract, Keolis Dijon has been rebranded Keolis Dijon Mobilités.
A new bike-share scheme will be established and with the introduction of hybrid buses, Divia will become the first hybrid network in France. A new 100% electric ‘city’ shuttle will also be created to service the city centre. Keolis Dijon Mobilités also intends to introduce new, higher-capacity vehicles and staff dedicated to accompanying people with reduced mobility.
