Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Southeast Rail Extension.the extension will add 3.4 km of light rail to the existing 305 km Southeast Rail Line. The project also includes three new stations, 1,300 parking spaces and the purchase of 8 vehicles.
Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Inc. (BBII) is the construction contractor selected by RTD to build out the extension transit project.
The value of the project is USD 233.1 million.
