CRCC to participate again in the new tender for Mexico City-Querétaro project

MexicoChina Railway Construction Corp (CRCC) confirmed it will participate in the new tender for the 50bn-peso (USD 3.4bn) Mexico City-Querétaro high-speed rail project.
The company led a consortium that was last year awarded the contract before the government revoked its decision and started the process over again.
Mexico’s transport and communications ministry (SCT) said draft bidding rules for the new tender would be published on January 14.
SCT has said the government has not made indemnity payments to the winning consortium over the canceled contract.
Alstom and Bombardier have also expressed interest in participating in the tender.
Foreign companies can participate in a consortium as long as it has at least one Mexican firm.
