Nordic infranet provider, Eltel, signed an agreement with Danish railway operator Banedanmark regarding operation, support and maintenance of network installations and technical IT systems. The contract starts in October 2016 and runs for five years, with an optional extension of three years. The value of this contract is approximately EUR 16 million.
Banedanmark’s system consists of various communication technologies for transmission of data as well as a nationwide fibre and cable infrastructure and a number of other technical IT systems. The network facilitates IP communication within the entire Banedanmark network.
