Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to create a JV for rail freight transport

azADY Express, KTZ Express, Trans Caucasus Terminals and ACSC Logistics may establish a railway consortium to increase railway freight transport. According to Azerbaijani Railways (ADY), the chairman Javid Gurbanov and his Kazakh counterpart Askar Mamin held talks for this new project.
“Within their framework the parties discussed prospects of development of Trans-Caspian international transport route, the creation of a consortium between companies ADY Express, KTZ Express, Trans Caucasus Terminals and ACSC Logistics for the development of this route. The chairs also covered the matter of supplies of locomotives, rails and other equipment to Azerbaijan Railways,” ADY said.
