Sydney authorities announced that construction works for light rail project will start in October, 2015.
Major construction of the 12 km new route will begin at Moore Park in September 2015, with construction in George Street beginning in October 2015.
Light Rail will operate from Circular Quay to both Randwick and Kingsford, with “turn up and go” services in the CBD.
In 2018, the authorities estimate that the major civil construction will be completed, and in June 2018 will launch the tests.
