Serbia: National Investment Council established

Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Jadranka Joksimovic stated that Serbia is the first country in the region to establish a national invstment council, which will deal with the preparation and implementation of key strategic infrastructure projects.
Joksimovic, who is co-chairperson of the National Investment Council together with Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic, said that the formation of this body is positively evaluated in the European Commission’s report on Serbia’s progress on the path towards the EU.
She explained that the council will represent a forum which will examine issues of importance for the promotion, preparation and implementation of strategically important infrastructure projects.
