CETIN, T-Mobile Czech Republic and Vodafone Czech Republic signed a contract with the city transport services in Prague on the placement of telecommunications technology for improved signal coverage of new tunnels of the metro route VA, Dejvická – Motol. The contract is valid for six years. The 3G and LTE signals will be available to customers of all three mobile operators, including O2 Czech Republic, as well as customers of virtual operators.
The first tunnel to be covered is Motol – Petriny. The total length of the cable between four stations in both directions is 11.6 kilometres. The coverage of stations cost CZK 12 million (EUR 444 thousands), of the tunnels CZK 18 million (EUR 665 thousands) and the extension of the technology BTS Na Bojisti another CZK 5 million (EUR 184 thousands).
