Mexico – Toluca maintenance facilities contract awarded

Mexico-TolucaMexico’s Secretary of Communications and Transportation awarded a consortium formed by Mexican and Spanish companies a Pesos 942 million (EUR 48 million) contract to build maintenance facilities for the Mexico – Toluca intercity line.
The consortium includes Sampol Mexican subsidiary and Spanish companies Rubau, Construcciones Rubau Ciacsa, MM-Mex and Grupo Electro Coast.
The project includes the construction of depots and sheds -including the administrative building and supporting buildings; the manufacture and supply of fixed installations and the general equipment of each depot and auxiliary supply vehicles, parking areas, gardens and urbanization in general, as well as their corresponding implementation.
The line links the city of Toluca, industrial and airport, with financial, cultural and business heart and extensive metropolitan network business area of Mexico City.
Mexico – Toluca intercity line will be put into operation this year.
