Japan to launch transport service on new line to Kanazawa

hokuriku-shinkansenStarting March 2015, Japan will launch a new extension of Nagano Shinkansen line, providing service between Tokyo, Toyama and Kanazawa. The new trains that run to Kanazawa, called the Hokuriku Shinkansen, have three different shinkansen, all of which will be available for to use with Japan Rail Pass.
Connecting the three cities, in approximately two and a half hours, the new route will provide quick access to the Hokuriku region and beyond. The line, 228 km, is the extension of Nagano Shinkansen line (117 km) and has 7 stations: Iiyama, Joetsumyoko,  Itoigawa, Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen, Toyama, Shin-Takaoka and Kanazawa.
