Eastern Russia: 978 km of tracks were reconstructed in 2014

russiaRZD made capital investments amounting to 49.9 billion roubles (USD 758.5 mln) in modernising and developing railways in Eastern Russia in 2014, including 3.6 billion roubles (USD 54.7 mln) which were allocated by the federal budget.
In eastern Russia, 978.6 km of track were reconstructed on 128 railway stretches, 15.6 km of additional main lines commissioned, 1,642 linear metres of small and medium-sized bridges renovated and 10,600 square metres of technological housing built.
