Tver Carriage Works to supply FPC 293 coaches

Federal Passenger Company (FPC), a RZD subsidiary, and Tver Carriage Works (TVZ) signed a contract for the supply of 293 coaches, following the competitive procedure organised in June.
Until October, TVZ will manufacture and supply 271 second-class coaches and 22 staff-cars, according to FPC requirements.
The new coaches will be equipped with air conditioning systems, individual sockets for charging mobile devices and USB charging points, as well as passenger information system.
The new coaches will also have special places and devices for passengers with disabilities and their accompanying persons.
During the production of the coaches, TVZ will collaborate with FPC, taking into account client’s requirements.
FPC is Tver Carriage Works’ main customer for the delivery of new rolling stock. In 2016, the operator signed a contract for the delivery of 234 cars, of which 148 single-deck coaches and 86 double-deck cars. In 2017, the tow companies also agreed in the supply of 425 cars, including 384 single-deck cars and 41 double-deck coaches.
For this year, taking into account this contract and the previous ones, TVZ will supply FPC 676 coaches, of which 611 are single-deck and 65 are double-deck cars. In the first half of 2018, TVZ already delivered FPC 340 single-deck cars and 39 double-deck coaches.
