Three metro stations put into technical operation in Moscow

moscow_lomonosovskii_prospektMoscow Municipality announced that three metro stations were put into technical operation – Minskaya, Lomonosovsky Prospekt and Ramenki. They are located on the new section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line (Line 8), which was extended from the Park Pobedy station. The new stations will be opened for passengers shortly.
The new stations will allow residents of the western, southwestern and central districts of Moscow to travel quickly and without transfers. The number of passengers is estimated at 600,000, and 300,000 Muscovites will be able to walk to the metro.
Work on the western section of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line is being conducted in stages. The Delovoi Tsentr-Park Pobedy section was launched in early 2014. The second stage – from Park Pobedy to Ramenki (7.25 km) – was practically completed in 2016.  The third stage – from Ramenki to Rasskazovka – is now under construction. The fourth stage – the Delovoi Tsentr-Tretyakovskaya section – is planned for the future as an extension of the Kalininskaya Line.
