Croatia: tender attributed for Dugo Selo-Krizevci rail cancelled

03-croatiaDKOM, the Croatian public procurement regulator, has cancelled a decision by railway infrastructure operator HZ Infrastruktura to select a local tie-up for the upgrade of the Dugo Selo–Krizevci rail track.
DKOM suspended HZ Infrastruktura’s decision following an appeal lodged by the second-ranked bidder Austrian Swietelsky Baugesellschaft, and a consortium led by Spanish Comsa.
In compliance with DKOM’s decision, Croatia’s railway infrastructure operator will come up with a new decision on the rail line revamp in mid-February. HZ Infrastruktura must also compensate the Austrian and Spanish bidders for the cost of the appeals proceedings in the amount of 100,000 kuna (EUR 13,000).
In October, Croatian construction company Hidroelektra Niskogradnja said that a consortium comprising Dalekovod, DIV and Zagreb-Montaza, with Hidroelektra Niskogradnja acting as a designated subcontractor, has been picked for the reconstruction of an existing rail track and the construction of a second track of the Dugo Selo–Krizevci rail route, a project worth 1.3 billion kuna (EUR 169.5 million).
