Zeleznice Srbije could sell assets to settle loan

03-serbiaSerbian state railway company Zeleznice Srbije  could put its assets up for sale, according to the Serbian press. Assets, such as land, restaurants, and rail transport vehicles could be worth EUR 100 million. In addition the company could also sell three hotels.
The sale has been pushed by the International Monetary Fund, which insists that the railway company settles its debt of approx. EUR 300 million. The new government will reach the final decision about selling the hotels and other assets of the company, Dušan Garibović, CEO of Infrastruktura železnice Srbije, said.
