Vostochny-Nakhodka railway hub to have expanded capacity

06-VostochnyA new document signed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich contains instructions on the construction of the Vostochny-Nakhodka railway hub in the Primorsky Territory. According to these, together with the Consumer Council and other stakeholders, RZD will have to amend the master plan for the development of the Vostochny-Nakhodka railway hub. The hub capacity should be expanded with additional 20 mln t by 2019 in view of the guaranteed growth of Vostochny Port’s throughput.
The Russian Transport Ministry will have to develop proposals on the comprehensive implementation of the Vostochny-Nakhodka project by 2020 with off-budget financing through concessions.
Vostochny Port JSC is Russia’s largest publicly available terminal equipped with wagon dumpers, conveyor systems, ship loading equipment and a unique multilevel system of magnetic separation. The terminal exports coal produced by different coal companies of Russia.
