USD 78 million for Nebraska’s railway infrastructure

union pacificUnion Pacific intends to invest USD 78.6 million in 2016 for the rehabilitation of Nebraska’s railway infrastucture. Under the project, the company will provide USD 71 million to maintain the track and USD 7.5 million to maintain bridges in the state.
For the Fremont- Columbus – Silver Creek line, the company wil invest USD 10.5 million, to replace more than 35,000 rail ties on Sutherland-Oshkosh – Broadwater, will invest USD 6.3 million and USD 6 million will be invested on Overton- Lexington – Gothenburg line.
