USD 40.6 million for California’s rail projects

amtrakThe California Transportation Commission (CTC) has adopted 156 projects, valued at USD 583 million. The funds involve roads and bridges projects, transit and rail systems upgrades and the encouragement of alternative forms of transport includig biking.
USD 40.6 million will be allotted for tranzit and intercity rail projects.
Despite this month’s allocations, the CTC has been forced to adopt a five-year state transport funding plan cutting USD 754 million and delaying another USD 755 million in previously planned highway, rail, transit, bicycle and pedestrian project spending.
