Union Pacific invests USD 70.9 million in Colorado’s rail infrastructure

union pacificUnion Pacific plans to invest USD 70.9 million in 2016 in Colorado’s transportation infrastructure, of which USD 67 million will be delivered fot the rail track maintenance and USD 3.4 million to maintain bridges in the state.
The projects include USD 16.7 million to replace 58 km on Garden City-Greeley – Windsor line, USD 5.9 million to replace more than 43,000 rail ties on Columbine-Castle Rock – Palmer Lake line and USD 5.6 million to replace more than 31,000 rail ties on Pueblo – Trinidad line.
In 2016, UP planned  to invest USD 70.9 million in Colorado is part of an ongoing investment strategy. From 2011 to 2015 Union Pacific invested nearly USD 123 million strengthening Colorado’s transporta infrastructure.
