Ukraine: new rail project in Luhansk region

02-ucrainaThe Luhansk region military and civil administration and Ukrzaliznytsia signed a memorandum to build a new 45-kilometer-long railway line in the Luhansk region, according to Luhansk region administration head Georgy Tuka.
“Today we will sign a memorandum with Ukrzaliznytsia on the construction of a line that will connect the areas adjacent to the contact line [in Donbas] and Ukrainian-controlled regions,” he said.
The construction of this 45-kilometer-long branch is important for the development of agriculture, as there are six large grain storage facilities in that area and transportation of grain by road is complicated.
