Arkas Group recently agreed for a credit of USD 235 million. The loan will be used for new investments in railway and port. Ar-Gü, railway company of Arkas Group, is the biggest private railway company in Turkey with a fleet of 707 freight wagons. The company is expected to be one of the train operators after liberalization. Arkas also has plans for a private railway terminal in Izmit region.
