The Black and Aegean Seas to be linked by railway

ÅÈÍÉÊÇ ÏÄÏÓ ÁÈÇÍÙÍ ÊÏÑÉÍÈÏÕ/ÐÑÏÁÓÔÉÁÊÏÓ ÓÉÄÇÑÏÄÑÏÌÏÓ..ÖÙÔÏÃÑÁÖÉÅÓ ÁÍÔÙÍÇÓ ÍÉÊÏËÏÐÏÕËÏÓ/EUROKINISSIBulgaria and Greece agreed to build a railway line that will link the coasts of the Black and Aegean Sea, the prime ministers of the two neighboring countries announced at the beginning of August.
The railway would connect the port cities of Alexandroupolis and Burgas, which are located respectively on the Aegean Sea and the Black Sea, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said after a bilateral meeting.
Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski announced that a working group with representatives of the maritime administrations and the railways of the two countries would meet in the first week of September 2016.
Bulgarian Transport Minister Moskovski and his Greek counterpart plan to ask the European Union to support this project with EU funds.
