Taiwan: Nangang station to open this summer

04-taiwanThe new Nangang station on Taiwan’s only high-speed railway line is expected to start commercial operation in mid-July, Taiwan High-Speed Rail Corp. announced.
The Nangang station is the 12th on the high-speed railway line, which has one stop roughly every 30 kilometers. The Nangang station was planned at first as a logistics station to service and resupply trains but was changed to a regular operational station.
When it is completed, the total length of the high-speed rail line will extend from 345 kilometers to nearly 350 km.
