Siemens and Mapna to deliver 50 diesel locomotive to Iran Railways

mapnaGermany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel has signed an agreement for the supply of locomotives in Iran, during its visit to Tehran.
To that end, Siemens and Iran company Mapna, will supply 50 diesel locomotives to Iran Railways. The vehicles will be assembled at Mapna Locomotive Factory in Karaj, Iran that will use parts delivered from Siemens’ facility in Munich.
Mapna Locomotive was established in 2007 and started with the production of 150 ER24 Locomotives under license of Siemens company.
