Intermodal operator Shuttlewise has started a new train service between RSC Rotterdam and Antwerp Mainhub, with 4 departures per week at first. Through the connection with the Portshuttle in Rotterdam and the LORO Shuttle in Antwerp, the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp will also be connected.
The main scope of this service is the direct ongoing connection to Spain using the network of Belgium operator IFB, resulting in the first connection from Rotterdam to Spain (Barcelona, Tarragona, Irun and Madrid).
Shuttlewise has extended its current network with daily trains to Italy and France with this service to Belgium and Spain.
