Serbia launches tender for rail infrastructure equipment

Serbia tenderSerbian Railways Infrastructure has launched an international tender to purchase track tamping machines for maintenance of civil-engineering infrastructure. The company will use part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) towards the cost of procurement of machinery.
The tender concerns two track tamping machines for lining and levelling of tracks and one universal track tamping machine for lining and levelling of switches and tracks. The operational life of the machines should be no less than 30 years. Towing and bumping equipment should be in accordance with the UIC Leaflet 520, and the vehicles should fit into the loading gauge in accordance with JZ standards and UIC Leaflets 505-1 and 506. The machinery will be used on railway lines with a track gauge of 1,435 mm, maximum track slope of 30 ‰, and distance between sleepers of 60-65 cm.
Sealed tenders from suppliers can be sumitted until 29 September 2017.
