Russian Railways is still in talks with Greek government on the possibility of submitting bids in the privatization of related Greek state companies, the president of RZD, Vladimir Yakunin said during Public Chamber of the Russian Federation meeting.
These companies includ the railway transport operator, Trainose, the Port of Thessaloniki and the rolling stock repair and maintenance company, ROSCO.
“During the course of the talks with Vladimir Putin, Tsipras (Alexis Tsipras, Prime Minister of Greece) confirmed that Russian Railways are rightfully interested and agreed that our contacts will be continued. Therefore we are continuing our work,” Yakunin said.
According to RIA Novosti, Russian Railways would acquire all three Greek companies simultaneously.
