RZD starts regular service to Yekaterinburg

RZD has set up a new regular container service connecting Moscow and Yekaterinburg. The first regular train arrived in the capital of the Russian Ural on 20 October. The train delivered fast moving consumer goods, food, equipment, cable goods and other goods to Yekaterinburg in 43 containers. The goods were 52 hours in transit.
The service of express delivery in container trains using a specialized schedule has been offered consignors as an alternative to road haulage. The key advantages of the new service are regular shipments, high delivery speed and guaranteed transit time.
