Rail freight transport services have begun between Tashkent, Uzbekistan and China’s Xi’an city, the capital of Shaanxi Province.
The train has transported 1000 tons of cotton in 41 wagons, cutting the time travel from one month to 15 days.
Around 3,000 tons of cotton yarn will be imported from Uzbekistan every month and will be distributed to eastern and northern parts of China.
