Lucknow metro train mock-up unveiled

lucknow-metroLucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) and Alstom India unveiled the two dimensional design and the three dimensional (3D) mock-up of the metro train.
The design of the metro train is a tribute to the city’s cultural richness. A special attention has been paid to passenger comfort with provision for 186 seats in longitudinal configuration and two dedicated zones for differently abled passengers. Screens displaying useful travel information have been placed at convenient locations inside the metro visible to all. Each four car Metro train has been designed to carry about 1100 passengers at a time.
The design criteria for selection of the train cars for LMRC are related to the energy efficiency, to a better comfort for passengers in terms of riding quality, lower–noise level and environment friendly. The body shell of cars made of stainless steel is lightweight.lucknow-interior
