Latvijas Dzelzcels to use dividends for investment

02-Latvijas DzelzcelsLatvian state-owned railway company Latvijas Dzelzcels will not pay dividends to the state budget from the profit obtained in 2015. The company was allowed spend its profit on infrastructure investment projects, following a decision of the government.
The Transport Ministry had previously asked the government to apply a 0% rate on dividend or leave the profit to LDz for the company’s development projects in order to continue investments in infrastructure.
Latvijas Dzelzcels closed last year with EUR 2.1 million in profit and EUR 217.8 million in turnover.
