Latvia: locomotive repair group DLRR records jump in turnover in H1

Locomotive repair group Daugavpils Lokomotivju Remonta Rupnica (DLRR) reported EUR 11.06 million in turnover in January-June 2017, which is 79.3% more than in the first half of 2016. The group’s losses decreased by 7.2% to EUR 1.353 million. The losses were due to fluctuating orders in the first quarter and delays with spare part supplies in the second, as well as fluctuations in the Russian ruble exchange rate.
DLRR’s exports went to eight countries in the first six months of the year, and exports amounted to EUR 10.1 million – up from EUR 4.5 million in the first half of 2016. The main directions of export in January-June were Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. At the moment, the company is working at full capacity.
